Penang Rd Famous Teochew Chendul have opened up an outlet in Paradigm Mall. Actually, Teochew Chendul have many branch in Malaysia I choose outlet in Paradigm Mall because I always go there. Its just a small section located at lower ground floor in front of Tesco supermarket. This place was crowded during lunch hour even on weekdays!
The outlet is pretty small, with limited tables and it is very popular so its common to see lots of people waiting for tables. I have ordered the Original Teochew Cendol (RM4.90) which arrived rather quickly. It is pretty good, creamy with a generous amount of cendol strands and red bean.
The noodles took sometime to arrive, possibly due to the limited kitchen space. I have ordered the assam laksa (RM7.90) and Penang curry mee (RM7.90), which i found quite mild tasting. The assam laksa was pretty good though a bit on the sweet side, however I seemed to enjoy it very much. Penang curry mee is white when served, then you mix in the chilli paste and enjoy. I quite like the rich and creamy broth – this came with quite a nice amount of cockles, prawns, tofu puff and long beans.
